Welcome to Buckeye Chestnuts! We are a family run self-pick or grab-n-go Chinese Chestnut and PawPaw farm located in Cleveland, Ohio. Our farm has been in production and selling chestnuts for 5 seasons now. Read below for information on dates and times when we will be open for the 2025 season. Harvest is typically early/mid-September thru early October. Keep checking back for updates!

Our chestnut season has come to an end! The burrs are empty, the baskets are full, and our hearts sure are too! Thank you to everyone who made this chestnut season such a joy. We loved seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones. Until next year—stay cozy and keep roasting those chestnuts!

Summer Update…
Big things are happening at the farm! We just added a commercial refrigerator—because when you’re dreaming of a bumper crop, you’ve gotta make room! We also have planted more than 40 new pawpaw tress as well which will begin producing in 3 years or so. We also will be selling Chestnut Scorer’s to make your roasting easier.

Do I need to bring supplies?
Nope, we supply gloves and buckets. Closed toed shoes and hats recommended!
Please no poles or shaking of branches. Chestnuts are harvested from the ground. If they are still on the tree in the burr they are not ripe.
How much are they and can I get a discount if I buy a lot?
2025 Pricing – Self Pick and Grab-N-Go are the same price. We mix all size nuts that are Pre-Picked.
$7.00 lb Cash. $7.25 lb Credit
PawPaws – $4 lb SOLD OUT
Bulk – Check with staff for pricing
Do you have restrooms and parking on site? Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, no public restrooms or pets. Yes, we have ample parking by the gray barn with red doors.
What payments do you take?
We take cash and credit card.
